Welcome Alex and Haylie


We are delighted to introduce Alex Sharp and Haylie Spark as the new owners of Market Place Dentistry, taking over the roles of Andy and Luisa. Originally from the North East, they fell in love with Yorkshire and have been part of the community for the past four years. In their spare time Alex and Haylie enjoy strolling around the beautiful Yorkshire countryside with their two young dogs and tracking down dog friendly pubs, cafes and restaurants.

Alex qualified as a dentist at Newcastle University, holds a diploma in restorative dentistry, and enjoys helping anxious patients through their dental care. After many years of providing high quality dental care across the North East and Yorkshire, Alex brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the practice.

Haylie comes into the role of practice manager with a diverse background in healthcare, having qualified as an adult nurse from Northumbria University. Her experience spans various roles in hospitals and community settings.

Alex and Haylie will take up their new roles leading the existing, dedicated team from Monday 12th February 2024. The entire team remains committed to upholding the high quality, compassionate and personalised service that you have come to expect at Market Place Dentistry.

  • Will there be changes to the team?

The amazing team will be the same. We’re ready to greet you with the same warmth and expertise you’ve always enjoyed. You may continue to see Andy and Luisa in the practice as they pop in to visit the team and patients throughout the transition.

  • Will there be changes to my appointment?

Alex will now be caring for Andy’s regular patients, so the majority of appointments will remain unchanged. In the event that we need make changes to your appointment(s), we will get in touch with you to reschedule.

  • Will there be changes to the prices?

There are no current plans to change any of our fees or payment policies. You can check our up-to-date fees at any time on our website

  • Will there be changes to the services offered?

All services currently offered will still be available. In the future we hope to introduce some new services and technologies to help make your experience even better.
