Emax Porcelain Veneers give the best possible natural appearance
We can change how your teeth look with porcelain veneers. The result will look neat but natural, which means you can laugh with confidence with a genuine natural-looking smile.
We use Emax porcelain, the gold standard for the best possible appearance.
Porcelain veneers can have all the subtle characteristics, colours and textures of natural enamel, so they will resemble your natural teeth as closely as possible.
Why choose Porcelain Veneers?
- They will allow you to smile fully and confidently.
- We can achieve the best possible appearance for a neat, natural-looking result.
- We can incorporate all of the colours, characteristics and textures of your natural teeth, in order to blend in as well as possible.
- Your teeth are ready to use straight away after fitting, so you can carry on eating, drinking and brushing immediately
Veneers or Crowns?
We can use veneers and crowns to give your teeth a new shape, colour and appearance.
We tend to use veneers when the teeth are in relatively good shape underneath. Porcelain veneers are usually better for the teeth. Because they fit just on the front surface, we can preserve more of the natural enamel – we often just need to shave back a little from the front.
Crowns are often better if the tooth is weak. Crowns wrap around the entire tooth to provide strength where this is needed, so we need to remove enamel from all the way round. This is beneficial if the tooth has a large filling, an existing crown, or is root-filled, but can be detrimental if the tooth is in good shape

“Mary from Thirsk
A friend recommended I visit Andy after I had broken a front tooth… and I subsequently had porcelain crown and veneer treatment to three teeth. It was painless and I am more than satisfied with the result, having lovely even front teeth for the first time in my life.I feel the treatment well worth the cost, and have no hesitation in recommending Andy to others.

How does it work?
The porcelain veneer is a custom-made porcelain facing which fits onto the front surface of your tooth. A highly skilled dental technician will make your veneers, who can incorporate all of the natural characteristics, colours and textures of your natural teeth. This helps us achieve the best possible appearance.
Before we carry out your treatment, we would usually plan your treatment using a mock-up model of your teeth. We can use this to decide the number, position and shape to give you the best possible result.
We usually carry out your treatment over two appointments under local anaesthetic. At the first, we would shave and prepare your teeth to allow the veneers to fit. We would take impressions of your teeth which we send away to the dental technician who will craft your veneers, and we would fit temporary ones in place.
At the second appointment, we would remove the temporary veneers. We try in your new porcelain veneers to check we are happy with the fit and appearance, and, if so, we will fix them in place using a strong adhesive.
Once your veneers are fitted, you can use them straight away.
As with all teeth and restorations, porcelain veneers will need maintenance over time. This may include refixing them if they come away, or replacing those which become chipped, damaged, or exposed at the gumline.
